Sales 101: The Art of the Pitch Deck
NBC is synonymous with global entertainment, and with good reason. Their studios have been creating iconic TV series for decades, and their success is due in large part to a strong sales staff that understands the importance of visual presentations. “AP Bio” is a new comedy premiering in February, 2018. NBC requested our help in creating a presentation to pitch the show to investors and marketers.
As we often explain to our clients, a pitch deck is much more than a presentation—it’s a powerful sales tool, and when done right, it can convey value in a way that goes beyond verbal persuasion. Our goal when designing a pitch deck is to create a visually immersive storytelling experience that brings the viewer into the content. Using engaging elements that relate to themes within each presentation, we draw connections for the viewer and make it easy for them understand the information at a glance.
By pairing school-related graphic elements with handwritten typography, we created a deck with a nod to the show’s plot that also presents the key points in a straightforward, digestible manner. Each slide on its own is a visual showpiece. As a whole, the resulting deck has rhythm and consistency that helped to bring the new show to viewers nationwide.
